# Routing Modes

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Smart Mode</mark>

The routing engine automatically determines how the order should be executed within the parameters approved by the user.

Depending on market conditions, the order may be executed through one venue or split across multiple supported venues to improve the expected overall execution quality.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Manual Mode</mark>

Users can manually specify how an order should be allocated across supported execution venues.

All allocations must total 100% before the order can be submitted.
