How Flipper Works

How Flipper routes and executes trades.

Market Access

Flipper provides access to decentralized trading markets through a single interface.

Instead of interacting with multiple protocols individually, users can discover markets, select trading pairs, and execute trades from one place.

For perpetual futures, users can:

  • Select a trading pair

  • Choose a Long or Short position

  • Set the position size

  • Review execution details before submitting the order

  • Monitor and manage open positions

Flipper connects to supported liquidity venues behind the scenes, allowing users to trade across multiple markets without switching between different applications or interfaces.

Smart Routing

Flipper's routing engine evaluates available liquidity and execution conditions to identify a suitable path for each trade.

Execution conditions can vary between trading venues. Prices, available liquidity, fees, slippage, and market depth may differ for the same asset, making manual comparison both time-consuming and inefficient.

Before an order is submitted, Flipper evaluates available routes and recommends the path expected to provide the best overall execution quality under current market conditions. Depending on the asset and available liquidity, the routing engine considers factors such as:

  • Available liquidity

  • Expected execution price

  • Slippage

  • Trading fees

  • Eligible execution venues

  • Market conditions

  • Execution reliability

This process helps improve execution quality while reducing the need for users to compare multiple markets manually.

Execution and Position Tracking

Once an order is approved and submitted, Flipper sends it through the selected execution venue and provides status updates in the interface.

After execution, users can monitor their position from a single interface, including:

  • Trading pair

  • Position direction (Long or Short)

  • Position size

  • Entry price

  • Current PnL

  • Position status

  • Order and execution details

Flipper is designed to keep users informed throughout the trading lifecycle - from order submission and execution to ongoing position management.
