# Connect Your Wallet

Connect a supported wallet to Flipper V2 and understand what happens before trading is enabled.

Your wallet is your identity in Flipper V2. Connecting it lets Flipper read your public wallet address, but it does not create a Trading Account, move funds, or open a position.

Flipper will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Only connect through the official Flipper website and review every request in your wallet before approving it.

## Connect step by step

### 1. Select **Connect wallet**

Use the button in the top-right corner of the trading page or the connection prompt in the order panel.

### 2. Choose the network type

Select **EVM** or **Solana**, then choose one of the wallet options currently shown in the connection panel. Available wallets may vary by network, device, and product release.

### 3. Approve the connection

Confirm the connection request in your wallet. This only shares your public address with Flipper.

### 4. Check the connected address

After the connection is complete, your shortened wallet address appears in the header. Make sure it is the address you intend to use for your Flipper V2 Trading Account.

## What happens next?

After connecting, the order panel will show one of the following:

| Status                      | Meaning                                                                              | What to do                              |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------- |
| **Create account**          | This wallet does not yet have a Flipper V2 Trading Account.                          | Create and activate the account.        |
| **Enable trading**          | The account exists, but trading access is not active in this browser or has expired. | Approve the requested wallet signature. |
| Trading controls are active | The wallet and trading access are ready.                                             | Deposit collateral or continue trading. |

Connecting a wallet is only the first step. Funds remain in the wallet until you complete a deposit.

## If the wallet does not connect

* Unlock the wallet and refresh the page.
* Make sure you selected the correct wallet and address.
* Confirm that the wallet supports the network selected in Flipper.
* If you changed accounts inside the wallet, disconnect and reconnect in Flipper.
* On mobile, return to the browser after approving the request in the wallet app.
