# Beta Collateral Limits

As an additional security measure, each user may hold collateral worth up to <mark style="color:$primary;">**$1,000 in a single collateral vault**</mark><mark style="color:$primary;">.</mark>

Flipper supports five separate collateral vaults. The limit applies independently to each vault, meaning that a user may hold up to $1,000 worth of collateral in each supported vault.

The limit is calculated using the current USD value of the collateral asset and includes any collateral already held in the vault.

A deposit will be rejected if it would cause the total USD value of collateral in the selected vault to exceed the $1,000 limit.

These restrictions are expected to be removed or substantially revised as Flipper progresses beyond the beta phase.
